Guide to resources:
The videos below can be used to initiate the discussion on space spin-offs at the beginning of the lesson. They can be played in their entirety or the most relevant snippets can be used. The teacher can create an alternative listening activity to the Listening Comprehension on spin-offs (provided as part of the Spazju.eu resources) based on the videos or a speaking activity, prior to the writing activity proposed in the resources provided on Spazju.eu.
The game suggested below can also be used as an introductory activity, especially with students who learn better with games.

Aim of game: To introduce the topic of space spin-offs using gamified learning. Students are presented with clues and they have to guess the spin-off and find it in the picture on the screen. Rather than being presented with the spin-offs, they will need to figure out for themselves which is the everyday object.
Suggested task:
This game can be used as an alternative to the videos above, either as a whole-class activity, or in smaller groups (if individual tablets are available), depending on the type of learners.
