Compilation of short videos taken from the European Space Agency and Euronews space TV programmes
Presentation slides with discussion prompts for class usage
Individual role-play cards for the students to work in groups

Start the lesson by explaining to the students how astronauts from different countries work together on scientific experiments that benefit all of humanity. (first few slides of presentation)
Watch short video clips from ESA about daily life and teamwork in space
Have a class discussion on why is teamwork important using prompts from the powerpoint slides
Focus the next part of the lesson on video clips on solo/small missions, and for example the recent situation when 2 astronauts could not go home due to some technical issues, and had to stay longer on the ISS
Ask students to share experiences using the roleplay cards as a prompt. Students can act out scenarios simulating teamwork on the International Space station or answer questions like “What would I do if I were in space on my own?” “When I feel lonely, I…” or “A time I helped a friend ..”
