The videos below can be used to initiate the discussion on how the media – including films, series, cartoons, books, and music – has helped shape public interest and imagination about outer space.
They can be played in their entirety or the most relevant snippets can be used. The teacher can create a listening activity based on the videos, prior to the writing and speaking activities proposed in the resources provided on Spazju.eu.

Aim of video: To provide a visual summary of The Little Prince. Since the video is quite long, it might not be possible to watch it all during the lesson. However, showing snippets of it might make it easier for the students to understand the reading comprehension better.

Aim of video: To provide an example of how space can be portrayed somewhat wrongly. In reality, no sound can be heard in space without the use of spacesuits or other devices. Therefore, it is not realistic that the 2 characters in the trailer speak to each other and hear each other while travelling through space.
